Blue Bayou at Cayo Costa.  The sails have some grease/stains but other than that she is one pretty boat!  Taken by Ron onboard Whisper

Yours truly sailing in 10 kts of wind and rain near Placida.

Blue Bayou sailed onto the beach at Punta Blanca Island.  The two Steve's Bayhens to port.

Rigging Blue Bayou for the first time on a sandbar after going under a bridge with masts down.

The "Macintosh" of sailboats according to several club members.  It was incredibly easy, unlike a Mac.

New name installed with the appropriate beverages ingested and wasted. I also waxed everything above the antifouling lines, including the parts of the cockpits not non-skidded.  New higher rated tires and rims were installed also. Yes, I tow my 2000 pound boat and trailer combo with a Dodge Hemi.

Duke, our Snorkie-dog, loving up on Captain Brenda on Lake Manatee.  One of the many great things about a Sea Pearl Trimaran is the immense forward cockpit.  When you have an opening that is 6 feet wide and 8 feet long fitting two full sized reclining lawn chairs side by side is no problem.  Brenda imparted some of her vast knowledge of sailing and sailing trimarans to us, free of charge.  The weird shiny stuff on the bimin seams is the seam sealer I applied after being rained on for over 40 hours of our first 72 of sailing ownership.

Duke exhausted and sleeping on the forward deck of Blue Bayou.  He always wears his PFD and leash.

Steve's Bayhen in Charlotte Harbor in 25kt winds and 3-4 foot waves.

We had two turns off the main and one on the mizzen (handkerchiefs are bigger) and were doing 5+ kts.

What a great first sail on our new boat!

Motoring into marina in Dunedin.  It had been storming for 2+ hours.  Shortly after it rained for 12 hours.  Taken from Sundancer by Sher.

Wing It, Sea Pearl 21 Tri, inboard and Whisper, Sea Pearl 21, at the docks on Friday night, BEER 07.

Wing It with new 6'6" cabin enclosure at Pelican Bay on Cayo Costa.

Brenda and Art sailing in to Cayo Costa on Rosie Pearl, Sea Pearl 21 Trimaran.

Rosie Pearl off the beach in Boca Grande inlet, just north of Cayo Costa.

Rosie Pearl reefed on Lake Harris in 15+ kts of wind.

Rosie Pearl ducking behind an island in Lake Harris.  Notice the water behind her.

Cedar Key 2007 - My wife, Becky in the kayak, watching Wing It sail by.

She turned as they sailed by and told me we should get one, so we did.

Unfortunately, all things change, the Potter part of "Pottering About Florida" is no more.  I have kept the links to all of my trip pictures with Minnow, my 2003 West Wight Potter 19, but we have moved on in our sailing lives.  Minnow now belongs to a very nice couple from New York who spend their summers in Florida working as biologists.  We still sail with a number of Potters and I will continue to take pictures of them and talk about them.  If you, the reader, ever have any questions or want a recommendation about a West Wight Potter 19, I will do so eagerly.  Ryan, the owner of International Marine, is a great guy and makes the best sailboat for its price and uses out there.  Minnow was always a pleasure to sail and Ryan was a great guy to deal with for everything I needed.
